does anybody wear an outer vest carrier over a sweater? most of the guys on my dept. wear the sweater with a vest underneath, but look silly reaching down the v-neck to pull out their notepad or pen?

Our guys who wear sweaters do the same thing (reaching in). I tried a sweater for a while but didn't like that part. Vests aren't authorized for us as an outergarment.
