I am on the hunt for a good family/shtf med kit and have had a hard time finding exactly what I am looking for; I am also torn on how far to go with the kit. I am EMT-IV here in CO and work as a volunteer with my local EMS so I have had decent training and have been gaining experience for a good year now. I was initially looking into just keeping a couple blow out kits handy but came across the R-Aid bag and it looks pretty nice but I am concerned it is going to be overkill for what I may encounter at work, school, or at home. I do like the fact that the bag looks pretty nice and should have enough room that I can expand it to what ever capacity I need or even use it as a full shtf bag, but the price tag is pretty steep to. What are your experienced thoughts on carrying a bag like this, am I better off with a few blow out kits? Are there any better options out there?

I like the R-AID bag.  I think it is a good size and very versatile. Pricey yes, but nice and TacMedSolutions make good kit.

WOW, $180 just for the bag. that is WAY overpriced for what it is even with the entire kit. build your own, as usual. find a bag you like and stock it with what you actually use.
