A St. Louis City firefighter died this morning at a fire station on S. Kingshighway while on duty.

Jeffrey Hudson appeared to have died in his sleep at Fire Station #36 after going on a call early this morning. He was found in his bunk later in the morning.

The department said Hudson’s death will likely be considered to have occurred in the line of duty.
