ladies and gents, i am having a blast. Its way more fun then when i was in the military, but i am looking for a set of black gloves, so that i dont have to touch people. Now, for bio stuff or in depth search or evidence i will obviously be using actual gloves, but i am looking for a set of road gloves, anyone have a particular set of gloves they like?
thanks again, i am trying to learn from the dudes that have been doing this  a while, and everyones opinions are welcome.

I have been using those cheap ass black ones from Galls for years. They work great and when you do get some junkie funk on them you just toss them and put on a new pair.
Gloves
They have gone up in price. I bout 15 pairs about 8 years ago and they were $14. Still have 4 pair left. I hit them with that anti-bactirial gel several times a night.

Oakley's tactical gloves work well for me.  I have worn them all day and my hands were cool and comfortable.  Also, I had no problem searching people ( ie. the material that the gloves are made of is not so dense that you can't feel small objects in peoples pockets.)

I have been using these Wiley-X CAG-1 gloves for about four years now and love them!

Especially the hard knuckles!

I've been through a shit-ton of gloves in my first 6 months on duty. Galls, Hatch, Oakley, etc. ALL of them fell apart within a couple of weeks.

Save for one:

Out in the field, I've been using MX gloves. They've got enough dexterity for a terry frisk, but the plastic pieces on top provide enough shielding for branches, shrubs and such. they tend to breathe pretty well and stretch as you flex your hand. This way, I only need to replace them once a year or so.

My $.02...

I run the UA baseball gloves. Thin, decent grip. I'm on my second pair.

I find the Mechanix Black on black gloves work fine for most
general duty tasks.

I like plain ol' Nomex flight gloves. That or Hatch makes some short gloves with knuckle armor.

I got the hatch gloves right away, the ones with the kevlar tips and knuckles, bio and blood born path path resistant. Were about 70 bucks. Lost 2 months on patrol, and couldn't feel shit with the tips. Got another pair of hatch, but there lesser version, for about 30 bucks. Have 2 months on them now, fit well, and can feel with them, FWIW.
