I found out that my cousin is having to go through a battery of tests to rule out breast cancer. She is 32 years old and has a young child. Please keep her in your prayers that it is not. We have had several women in our family die from breast cancer including my mother, grandmother, and aunt, so this is something to worry about. Ladies please remember to check monthly for lumps and get your annual exams. My mother was only 50 years old when she died from it. Thanks! |

Prayers sent and good wishes. If breast cancer is in your family as heavy as it is with such poor results you should consider having regular cancer screening and see if they will do the blood test also. More often or not. If caught soon enough it has a very high rate of recovery. I would not mess around with this if I were you. |
I am only 27 (almost 28) and the doctors told me that unless I am 35 they will not do a mammogram no matter what my history is. I get annual physicals though.

Eeek! Maybe another doctor would do it? I had my first mamogram when I was 15 (turned out to be a benign lump that went away). My second was when I was 31. Definitely see if someone else will do it. |
My wife's doctor had no problem ordering one at 30 for my wife. Her paternal grandmother died of breast cancer and her mother is a breast cancer survivor. Insurance wouldn't pay for it though. Oh well, $150 to find out she's good to go is no big deal. Prayers sent |

keeping you and your family in my prayers. Like the others have been saying I would certainly check with another doctor. Ovarian cancer is really high in my family. My great grandmother had it and breast cancer, my grandmother had breast cancer, my aunt had ovarian cancer, My mom had all her plumbing removed at 30, and thus is why my doctor requests that I see him every six months. *sigh* I have been doing that since I was 16. Better to be safe than sorry and like some others said catching it early gives you the upper hand. I wish the best for you and your family. eta spellcheck |
prayers sent. maybe a medical savings account could cover that... but even if you have to pay for it, and even if you only do one every other year (outside of regular doctor visits, of course), you should definitely think about getting started with those... |
PRAYERS SENT! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR COUSIN! |
That He does! Prayers sent. |
I get annual physicals though.
