I am not the stereotypical b*thcy girl when I'm pms-y. I just get blue about a day or two before my period.

What do you gals do to help, for lack of a better word, "cope" with the pms symptoms. I am such a happy go lucky, always optimistic girl, and I hate being down in the dumps. And its so hard to explain to your SO that you feel like crying and you don't know why lol

I truly believe men should have to go through just one period to see how it feels...then they'll never ever complain again when we're moody

I totally agree.. I think they just complain and say that we are making excuses.. I will say that I have a great husband and he puts up with it.. but yet I don't think he thoroughly understands.cant blame him though, he doesnt understand what we go through. he still, everytime (at that time of the month) asks me "whats wrong".. and the sad thing is "i don't know" .  and yet, most of the time is I just need that sappy ol hug.. and he just doesnt get it//

I have a martini or two...although that's probably not a very healthy solution. That hurts in the morn'.

When not drinking, 600 mg of Motrin and a nice bubble bath helps.

Yeah, I've had that conversation

"What's Wrong?"

"I don't know"

"What do you mean you don't know!?!?!?"

Vitamin B6 is your friend.  I feel for you guys though who have problems.  My only 'inconvienence' if you will is the desire to get pregnant immediately.

I'd forgotten about PMS... prescription mind-altering drugs sort of help that one out, I guess.

Midol, Merlot, mega B complex, evening primrose oil, citrus fruits and Twix.

I am sorry ladies but we do have to go through the pain of a period. Putting up with your crazy asses!

Fortunately for me all my lady has to do is drink a bottle of wine once a month. Oh and then she really really wants to get laid. I cannot complain!

I knew I liked this one!

Yep...'tinis are a good way to cope.
Retail therapy (even buying a new lipstick can help)

Never had much of a problem with it before I got my tubes tied...but since???
Gah...makes me want to have a hysto.

Since I turned 40 I have a 3 week window where I get migraines, either the week before, during or after. Only problem, Don't know when it will hit me. I have prescription meds to help with the cramps etc. since they are severe. Since I turned 40 it's been down hill ever since.

Or how insane she can really be.

Or something

drink.
shop.
work out.
have sex.

Any or all of the above.

You'd be amazed what a good orgasm can cure!

Good point - can't forget the retail pick-me-ups! Anything from makeup to gun accessories will do.

I'm lucky.  The Mrs. is pretty even-keel through the entire month.  Would be nice if she actually experienced a spike in sex-drive now and then, though.

Hummm, I have a very short fuse when im pmsing!  Granted that fuse can go in any direction!

I stay away from heat in general.  The heat makes the cramping worse and cold does the oposite.

I really cant complain, all the women in my family have to give up an entire week of their months and I only have to give up 3-4 days!

O-and ice cream is the miracle drug for PMS!

Hm....
Not to hijack. But from day two (of the menses) to just about a week after it's over, I get a "spike" in the interest meter. Doc says it's perfectly normal: ovulation and all that.

May wanna have her ovulation stuff looked into.

Back to the PMS bitching (FTR? Hubby "goes to Home Depot" alot 7-10 days prior...I wonder why....

What makes it suck most is the trheory that a crazy person doesn't know they are crazy...bye the time it occurs to you that you are being irrational you have probably stacked up several irrational things adn should go tell people your sorry for being  jerk. Not sorry "I have PMS" there are things to do to keep it to a minimum and I can't stand to hear a girl say "I can't help it". We can, we have to want to...people around us suffer from it. I get weepy a couple days before, and spend money like I have a clue but that's about it. It annoys more than hurts most around me.  Lots ao' good stuff to help these days...make yourself feel better Duckie YOU deserve it.

I was blessed that my last SO actually stopped to recognize that she was being irrational before she said anything, and just kept her mouth shut. I, of course, would notice and ask about it, and she would just give me that knowing look, I just smiled and would give her a hug.

Man...I miss her

Try a potato gun with Hershey kisses ammo...fire over your shoulder at a metered pace and haul ass...the foil will slow her down and you can escape on your feet
