So I have been itching for a new toy for some time now.
So I decided a few months ago I wanted a new Kimber. Except this time I wanted a 9mm. So I have the boss order me one. I had almost forgotten I had ordered one when the UPS man shows up at the shop today and drops off a few long guns and a small box (handgun size)
I open the long guns, log them in and get busy so I don't have time to open the small box. Finally I get time, I slowly cut the tape, open it up and see a black box with Kimber on it. My brain goes crazy, I love fondling Kimbers, mine or someone elses. SO I eagerly open the box to see who ordered what. I almost fell over when I seen my pretty new handgun laying there in the box. I don't have pics of mine, but here it is on the website. Can't wait for this weekend to be able to go out shooting!!

I had my heart set on one.

The bull-barrel was a turn-off though.  I don't know what it actually weighs, but it FEELS heavy.

Woo hoo! Congrats on the new baby

My next toy is going to be long and go long. I can't tell you how excited I am about this next one! I told myself I would practice with the one I had - and I did but it had it's limitations - and now I'm just getting too anxious and want a new one!!! (I just can't decide if I want to go tactical or F-class at the moment )

I cringe too when I think of what I spent. Just remember, I work in a gunshop and get it at dealer cost.

Look into S&W's 1911 with the Scandium frame. Cheaper than the Kimber, and a stronger frame. Not to knock Kimber, but I've got 2 Kimbers that both had serious issues, and now I have 2 Smiths that have never failed. I'm sold on their quality, and they're less dough probably because few people stray from Kimber/Springfield.

Yes we do, but may I suggest to you to wait until at least next week if you want to talk to someone about them.
We had 2 employees injured in seperate accidents last week, one of which will be off through the rest of this week, and the other we'll know more Monday. Both are well and have non-life threatening injuries, but bedrest for them both through this week. The one you need to talk to is the one we won't know when he can return until after he sees the Doc again Monday.

Again... Sorry about the Hijack..

Yeah, I just wanted to have an idea of a local store with ARFCOMmers that handled CIII parts so I know where I can go to have my parts shipped or buy them. It's going to be a while until I can buy anything, but I'll get in touch with you via PM about what I need. Thanks.
