The women-bashing fu is getting overwhelming again. I like women. How bout you? |
|
I really enjoy being around women. Where I used to work we had teams assigned to different production lines, and most of the time I was the only guy on our team. One of the girls asked me if it bothers me to work with just girls every day, and one of the others (who knew me better) said "Are you kidding? He's right in his element!" Wimmings = Cooooooooollllllllllllllllllllll ![]()

Awww... c'mon... they're just joking. This is a male-dominated site.... always has been, always will be. The guys get together and vent and some men vent through generalizations.... just like women. What about all of those t-shirts out now for girls that say things like "Boys are stupid. Let's throw rocks at them"?? Both sides are guilty of it. I prefer to actually chose a particular person to be upset with.... like, oh, I don't know.... the person I'm actually in conflict with!! ![]() |
Oh nos! Logic in a woman's forum! Run now! ![]() ![]() You know I am just kidding, right?
|
|
But see, this is the Women's Forum, this is OUR place to I actually think the "all women are evil, crazy lesbians" posts are kind of funny in an oh bless their little cotton socks kind of a way...

Oh, yeah, yeah, I shouldn't let it bother me. My boss doesn't believe women whould be allowed to vote, but he goes off and leaves me in charge of day to day management of the corporation. So go figure. Usually when guys gripe about female airheadedness in front of us, we take it for granted that they mean 'present company excluded'. Really I feel damned sorry for these guys if they really feel that 'all' women are evil/ lesbos/ bitches, etc. Speaks volumes about the company they keep, and speaks nought at all about us. Pass me some of those rocks, and I'll invent a catapult to throw them at the 'stupid boys' |
|
It used to bother me, then I realized that the men speaking were the sort who repeatedly dated high-maintenance psycho-b*tches just because they were hot. If they ever managed to get their heads far enough out of their a$$es to see that their own choices were the root cause of their pain, there might be hope for them, but I doubt it will ever happen. Instead of admitting their own inability to make sound judgements, they feel more comfortable blaming all women everywhere for their suffering. It's okay with me. I figure even high maintenance psycho-b*tches need someone to love them. Some days, I feel a brief twinge of pity for the guys in question. Most days, though, I just laugh at their misery knowing that the attitude that they have developed will only contribute to a life of drama and misery for them. |

patty, the critter that says that is called Happy Bunny i searched for a shirt with that saying, which i have seen in the past, but couldnt find it found this one though ![]() happy bunny |
Except for the fact that we do kind of smell. Or is that just me? I think the difference is that those shirts and sentiments are clearly tongue-in-cheek, whereas some of the "haters" in GD clearly seem to believe that all women really are money-grubbing, conniving, evil whores, incapable of the amazing heights of reason and logic that all men are inherently capable of, and who will invariably stab them in the back and sue them for child support for an illegitimate child they had while cheating with an illegal immigrant or Al Qaeda terrorist. But I agree with you that sweeping generalizations are lame. |
thanks, DK, for the quotable reply |

First off, Gabby... you are SERIOUSLY bitter right now. Find your inner happy place or something but you need to find a way to let go of the anger eating at you. Second, I don't agree with the "let's throw rocks at boys" any more than I do the "all women are crazy. It was simply to illustrate that both sides sometimes make sweeping generalizations. Again, I prefer to be upset with the actual person I am upset with.... not piss off everyone else in the process.

I don't need a therapist. Thanks. |
