So it's been a very long weekend. Open house, graduation. My little girl is all grown up now.
Wanted to share my sadness/happiness with you ladies.

Walking in

Receiving Diploma

There's nothing in there!!

Myself and my 3 bundles of joy.

ETA: The entire class handed the man handing them the diplomas beer caps!
The first one he got, he just grinned and sat it down, he wasn't so happy after all 44 walked through.

Wow, Mrs GH that brings tears to my eyes.  I'm not far behind you.  Your daughter is beautiful.  What's her plans from here on out?

Congratulations!  Patty

Thanks Patty
She is going on to college for a degree in elementary education. She wants to teach kindergarten. She did a "shadow" job all year with the kindergaten class and loved it. She knows for sure that is what she is meant to do. The class bought her a briefcase of sorts and made her cards for her last day. She cried her eyes out on that day. She's really going to miss them.

Walrus, She lives in small town USA with her Dad just for the very reason she got a better education with a smaller school.  The school is debt free so the "cuts" that the state has been making for the past several years hasn't hit them real hard yet. The kids come first, as it should be everywhere.

That's great Mrs GH.  Sounds like a good school.  Our town's school is similar.  Its no longer a standard public school but is a charter school.  They do not have the same obligations as a typical public school.

Wooohooooo.....Congratulations. Looks like you are going to have a lot of practice attending graduations.

Hehehe....empty diploma holder. In H.S. they mailed ours a month after. In College, it came with an order form to order the diploma for like $50+ depending wether or not you wanted the oversized one, also framed and not framed.

44 Graduating class, my my....we had 44 in my History class alone. I graduated in a class of 500+ There were about 750 in our freshman class. Some dropped out. Some went to jail. Yes I said jail. Some did not graduate with the class and got held back. In my college class we graduated 150+ Must be nice to be in a small class. Especially come time for reunions. You'll know everyone.

I remember our first daughter graduating...it was sad but happy.  The class size is the same as around here. Some have only 20 students. Very rural and getting smaller!
And it sure didn't take her long to move out. Boy the nightmares of the first summer she left!! She met someone who was BAD news.....They took off to Misouri without telling ANYONE! I was worried sick!  I finally did find out where they went after a few days. But that was 12 years ago. She finally dumped him, found a great guy and has now been married for 7 years with 3 kids! Just goes to show no matter how bad they are at a certain time in their life, they can turn around and be great!

Congratulations to both of you!  I know the parent works hard to get their kids to this point.

I am looking forward to this day on June 10th when my only son graduates.  I understand the happy/sad conflict as well.

Congrats!!!

Makes me a little sad to think that Little Ms. Wedge will get that grown up someday.

Well, guess I'll get back to work on that anti-growing up pill.
