QS and I are doing well. I was just really missing the comraderie here and thought I would sneak in and say hello. We've been super busy with Civil War reenactments, work and life in general, but I just got a promotion at work and actually think my life will settle down somewhat once that starts.

I am pretty sure that the Pwers that Be won't allow QS back. But hey, I am waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy cuter than he is, so it's all good!

Well, for the past two years I have been working at two different buildings in our system and actually doing the work of two full time people. This job will keep me in one building, so I won't need the split personality anymore!

Was your promotion one of the two jobs you've been doing the past two years?  Ah, the joys of being an "interim" anything!

The new job is Children's Service Manager at our largest branch. I was a mere children's librarian at two different buildings before. When I took the job two years ago I was told that the two building thing would be only for about 6 months, but it turned into a long term thing because of a building project gone awry. Finally, they broke ground on the new building, but this position came open and I took that one instead. Anyway, I am super excited and honestly think being at one building will be way less stressful. (At least I won't have to carry all my crap back and forth in my car trunk!)
