My friends and I have a yearly tradition.  Usually it's held the Friday after Thanksgiving.  But this year we made it a week later.  So it's tonight.

We all get together, and start watching animated Christmas Specials.  We start with the Grinch.  And of course we all have our drink of choice.  We make certain rules about each show. For example, every time the word "WHO" is spoken in the Grinch...?  Drink. (oh, and every time there's dog abuse we have to drink, also)

Frosty?  The words "HAT" "MAGIC" "RABBIT" "SNOW".  DRINK DRINK DRINK DRINK.

As you can imagine, after a while, the actual TV show doesn't matter.  But it's a fun night anyway, I look forward to it each year.  My son even loves to come to Grinch Night.  he drinks Coke, and burps all night long!

Anyway...what's your favorite Animated Christmas Special?

Mine is the Year Without a Santa Clause...HANDS DOWN.

Animated would have to be the Grinch. Otherwise it's A Christmas Story.

+1 on Heat & Snow Misers!

Nothing can top the Christmas movie triumvirate though:

It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

I can watch them over and over and over and over (with occasional breaks for Scrooged).

It was just on last night.

My favorite animated one is still Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, but Santa Claus is Coming to Town is a close second.  (I ordered a bunch of them on DVD and am looking forward to watching them with Junior this year. )

While we're on this train of thought, would all of you sweet & lovely ladies be kind enough to visit/participate in my CLASSIC and CONTEMPORARY Christmas movie threds/polls?  They haven't gotten nearly the response my Christmas songs threads did last year...

Thanks!

A Christmas Story

National Lampoons

Scrooged.

No fun drinking games though. But I don't need an excuse to get hammered...
