I need help.  I am unable to think of a present for one of my closest friends.  So, I figured I'd tap into the collective wisdom of the ARFCOM women.  Please help.

This friend is extremely generous and caring.  He's not a young guy, he turns 60 this month, too.  I've thought about the usual weekend getaway and dinner certificates.   I was hoping for a little more creativity, he fancies himself as a cowboy (former rodeo calf roper).   I know it sounds extravagant but the gift budget is $500.

Please help,
Mike

If he has a little of his own money to spend look into a gift certificate for custom made boots.  $500 will get you a pretty good hat too, but, again, unless you know exactly what color/style he would want a gift certificate would be better.

I was looking through the Sunday paper and saw this.  Two tickets and one down, my lovely wife is next.  Gosh, she's redecorating the house in a horsey theme, so horsey jewelry should do it.  She fell off her horse last week, but she'd kill me if I bought her riding lessons.

You could bring him up here to Oregon to go hunting on our preserve!

Now that is a generous offer.  Thank you very much.  I'm originally from New England and really miss bowhunting whitetail in the woods.

Yeah, you might get 'thrown' for that one.
