Aside from the issues of using a light with a .40 Glock, which have supposedly been fixed, they are a great pistol. ETA - However, there are those out in the shooting world that feel the .40 round is a waste so to speak, in that it doesn't offer any significant advantages over the 9mm round in addition to the increased recoil, diminished capacity, and higher cost of ammo. |
| The new G22 is a very good gun. I've read they had issues with the first Gen of those but the new ones are good to go. It's a caliber that has a pretty snappy recoil so not one I would start a new shooter with. Other than the recoil I think it's a very adequate handgun. I have a S&W M&P 40 on order not because I need one, I have better handgun calibers to shoot, but because in this current environment where ammo in popular calibers is impossible to find we have no problem buying .40S&W. There's just not that many people continuing to shoot this caliber making finding ammo easier right now, at least where I live. |
| i have one and it feels pretty much the same as the 17 i have, and it still holds 15 rnds so the capacity is not that deminished plus it does make a little bit bigger hole but much tamer to shoot than a 45. im selling mine on GB right now only because im trying to make more money for my business i just started, otherwise i would be keeping it. but i may be biased, i have about 5 guns in 40 especially older smiths |
