Hi gals!
I'm sorry to bug you with something that's kind of a peronsal...uh, issue. But this is definitely not something I can post on facebook and ask my gal friends there. I'm on the pill, at the end of my 2nd week here. I've noticed over the past few days that my nipples are rather...sore. Just the nipple though. Not pregnant that I know of, not menopausal, and hubby is not the cause (this time).
Not sure why. I'm wearing a regular underwire bra, but thinking of maybe changing to another one for a while to see if that helps. Any ideas? It's getting kind of annoying...

Or sometimes right before "that time" they get that way for some people. My last girlfriend's nipples got sore every month during PMS when she was on the pill. Breast changes during your cycle, especially with extra hormones added, are normal. For some women it's just swelling, for others it can manifest as sore nipples.
Of course, anything more than just some soreness, or skin changes, or persistent soreness that lasts longer than a couple weeks should get your butt moving toward the gyno. You can try moving some of the extra fluid out via the lymph pathways, as per the article above. Can't hurt. Quoted:
BTW, that article might get taken down for CoC, even though it is a teaching article. Oh noes! An adult breast! My eyes! I'm scarred for life! That's one thing europe has on us. We tolerate absurd violence in GD, such as gruesome beheadings and evisceration, but so much as one female nipple and threads get closed. Same thing on TV. Cold blooded murders, acts of violence, it's all kosher, but god forbid an educational program show anything resembling real life, or an entertainment program show what is a large part of HEALTHY adult life: Sex. That's fucked up. Sorry, back to the nipple thread. |

LOL!
Sorry about that, my time to surf internets is really off and on right now. BUT! I did discover what was giving me issues! For the record: The birth control pill I'm on I've been on for about a year now and have had no previous problems with it. I'm working out doing some weights to help build muscle and get my metabolism running, but nothing crazy I'm not running really and if I plan to do any I always wear my sports bra. As best as I can figure it was my new bra that was causing the discomfort. It apparently, if the website is correct, was pinching the ducts that run to the lymphatic system (and are responsible for draining everyday toxins from the breast tissue). Toxin build up is rather unpleasant, but fortunately there are massage techniques you can do to help push it out of the tissue. I tried the techniques on a wild hunch and it cleared nearly all of the discomfort. The rest was gone by the next morning and I switched back to my old bra. Yes, I'm rather annoyed the link got taken down. If you want it, send me a PM and I'll get it to you. (Yes, I see someone has already done that! :) ) |

Ah well! /happened to me back in high school too. //my article got yanked because I used the word "diarrhea" when explaining what symptoms to watch out for after drinking our locally contaminated water supply. |
