| i got a ticket for making to much noise at my house during my 23 birthday. it wasnt a rager and no one was getting out of had we were just being to loud for that time of night. i was woundering how much trouble i am in. the ticket was labled a criminal offence. i was just worried that i would not be able to apply for my long gun/handgun licens anymore. any info would be great. |

If it is in fact a criminal offense rather than a summary offense in your state I suggest hiring an attorney. They may be more able, than you representing yourself, to have the charge lowered to a summary offense (or whatever non-criminal offenses your state has).
It is likely not an issue either way, currently, but who knows what firearms law changes may come down the road. I don't know what your states laws are regarding handgun licenses but they likely have clauses that state something along the affect of 'or are you currently awaiting trial on..." You should probably not bother making any applications until the case and charges are resolved no matter which route you take. |
