The farmland that borders my property continually drains on to my property. Some of this is normal runoff but most of it comes from clay tiles underground. The county surveyers came out (after many complaints) last summer and dug with a backhoe and found a drainage tile that they had covered up in previous attemped repair. The tile that they uncovered is the one that drains the the farmers ground into a ditch that borders my property. Since they (county surveyers) origianlly blocked this tile who would be responsible for the repair? My feelings are is that the blocked tile then caused the leak on my property. The weakest place in the clay tile? This has been a frustration since 2004 and has burned out alot of sump pumps! The farmer is a D*** and also are the surveyers. Any help would sure would be appreciated. Thanks! |

You're in Indiana correct? I'm not sure but a call here may help you out. http://www.iaswcd.org/ Here in Ne. we have the NRD (Natural Resource District) and they can sometimes help out when situations like yours come up. If they can't help you out themselves, they may be able to point you in the direction. |
