I want to find out if I am still eligible for a CC permit? I was arrested for pointing a gun and possession of a controled substance! (misdemeanor) To start off with the person that accused me of this was wrong (lying) we were haveing a verbal altercation, and just for spite called 911 on their cell phone and when arrested the officer said he would write a letter so that I would never get another carry permit. Went to court and the pointing a gun charge was dropped (not even brought up) Did 1 year of probation and D&A classes. All over a while back and they did ask for nor did they take my current permint. My current permit exspires in '08. What do you think? What are my chances of getting my permit renewed in '08? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Check the hometown forum for a better answer. For my state, if you screw up, we revoke your permit. So, if you still have your permit, your crime must not have been serious enough for them to pull it. Honestly, your offense would have had your permit pulled right away, here. Now, being an illegal narcotic user may open you up to a denial.......... what were you convicted of? |

1st of all I was covicted of possession of a controled substance & DUI, what my attorney said was the same as! He the attorney Wheeled a deal! It never went to a jury trial. 2nd Where is the home group? I am fairly new to this forum. I really appreciate your input and your time! I have had this permit since 1973, it is a very valued 2nd admendment right! Thanks again!!!!! |
