Im applying for an 01 FFL and have a few questions. The instructions seemed fuzzy to me.

Do I just mail the ATF my Copy 1 and Copy 2? Do I just give Copy 3 to my CLEO and keep Copy 4 for myself?

Who can take my prints? Does it have to be the CLEO?

Those are confusing forms fer sure! I am not where I can check to answer the copy questions, but the fingerprints are OK from any certified LE officer I think. I just walked into our city police dept and walked out ten minutes later with the card.

Be prepared to wait! I applied Feb 1 and got my license yesterday. The Agent interview was three weeks ago. All he did was go over paperwork, did not even look at my vault or anything.

what do you have to do to get a ffl? i only want to to be able to recieve weapons iv bought without going through the hassle of going to another ffl holder.

ATF will not approve it for this purpose.

This is a sign that you have about 90 - 120 days until you get your FFL, Everyone I know that has their FFL including myself has had to wait about 90-120 days from the time check was cashed, This just means they have got to your appliation, If you call the ATF they will tell you the same thing.
