Ok, I have some LEGAL, PRE-BAN 15rd magazines for the Beretta 92SD. There are no 'evil-mag' laws in WI, so as far as [b]state law[/b] goes I can have any sort of mags I wish. The issue is this: I have a Beretta 92FS, which uses the same mag design except that the mag-catch hole is in another spot. Cutting a new mag-catch hole would allow the 92SD mags to work with the 92FS, while still allowing them to function as 92SD mags. Can I modify the 92SD mags to fit the 92FS (so long as they still function in the 92SD) without violating the 94 Crime Bill? Last I heard, you could modify mags to fit new guns, so long as they fit their original gun as well (as seen in Oly's Sten-mag-friendly 9mm AR15 design)... |
