We all know Obama sucks.
We also know there isn't a Republican out there right now (like Reagan or W) who can carry the mantel. Thompson was wrong in 2008. Old, conservative boring. Right now, I think the electorate would love Old, conservative and boring. Once bitten...However |

He practically mailed it in. I was really surprised by his lack of drive in the campaign - maybe he realized that no republican could win the election anyways at that time and just didn't care.
Whoever runs next time will have to deal with a very charasmatic campaign (regardless of how much of a liar and fake he is), assuming they even run osama the next time around. However, at the rate things are going now, it may be a write-in for republicans anyways. |

For the most part I think he is a good dude, but I was a little dissapointed when he ordered Benson and Novak to arrest and prosecute the pro-life doctor who mislead that pregnant girl to ensure her pregnancy would develop past the legal time limit for an abortion.

Fred saw the writing on the wall: NOBODY was going to beat Obama and there was no point in wasting $ and banging head against the wall in trying to do so.
Regardless of what some cranks say about needing to have someone to get the conservative base out to vote,it's absurd to think that more people sulked at home because of McCain instead of voting against Obama. I don't think he'll bother next time around. |

Not that Fred.......the other Fred! |

Quoted: Yeah, as much as I loved Fred and would've loved to see him carrying the banner in 2008, I just can't see folks getting behind him now after the clusterfuck of a campaign he ran last time. Exactly! It's really too bad that the man ran such a frigin' boring campaign. |

Fred would be the perfect candidate for us, but he failed miserably in his '08 efforts. There's got to be someone out there we can put forward to demolish zero and his monkeys.... HH Alan Keyes I voted for him against Obama in 2004 and liberals still call me a racist for opposing almost everything the President has proposed. (Off topic, but it still pisses me off) |

Quoted: Quoted: Scott Brown looks like a promising rising star in the GOP. Charismatic, looks "dashing", and down to earth. No thanks RINO at best. His job was to kill the 60th vote, over time his conservative cred will fall away. He came in and completely overthrew the democrat agenda. What else do you want? only you guys could downplay such a huge blow to the Democrat agenda, by saying he probably isn't conservative "enough" ![]() |

Brown was a huge victory, but the guy is still a mass rep. Thats as good as we could hope, but no way I am getting behind him running for president until he shows something. |

Quoted: Unfortunately, the person who doesn't need the job and doesn't have the 'fire in the belly' is exactly the type of person who we NEED for president. However, that person will never be elected. It will always be the ambitious, power-hungry candidates. Absolutely wrong.... In order for someone to 'have what it takes' to be President, they *NEED* to have the drive, motivation, and desire - and the ability to communicate such to the people & the world... P.S. None of the past Presidents really *needed the job*, going back at least to Wilson - they have all come from fairly well-to-do backgrounds... It is the desire to have the job & the vision to accomplish something with it, that is required. |

Quoted: Scott Brown looks like a promising rising star in the GOP. Charismatic, looks "dashing", and down to earth. Too liberal. Not pro-life. He's in a great spot right now... If we could only get his 'other half' to run for Kerry's seat (Romney) we'd be set - both of them in a place where they can actually do some good. |
