I so much wanted this to be a good movie, back when it came out in the theaters. It could have been good. They had a great budget, they had a really great stunt team, they had Military involvement. ![]() Instead we got Barry Bostwick and a bunch of fags dancing around in satin jumpsuits. |

Well...
I interneted some awesome (probably useless for most) info... Apparently, the main chick in it PERSIS KHAMBATTA was the bald chick in the 1st Star Trek movie. And... there's not a ton of memorabilia even available... Hot wheels for the movie sell for $40-150 a pop. I bet I had some and I'm betting they met an unfortunate fate. |

Quoted: One of a handfull of films that I want for the collection that simply isn't anywhere to be found on DVD or on-line. ![]() There was a PAL release that is pretty hard to find. If you wanted a legit copy and were willing to spend the time in the right places (maybe DVDManics forums for starters) I'm sure you could get your hands on it. As far as ripped copies, they may or may not be floating around various places on the net. I wouldn't know about such things. |

Ace Hunter = Barry Bostwick = Mayor on Spin City....
# Actually filmed in Southern Nevada using M48A5 tanks of 1/221 Armor Battalion of the Nevada National Guard # Producers approached military officials for cooperation in the design of the vehicles used in the battle scenes; the officials refused. When the film was released, those same officials were so impressed with the vehicles, they asked the producers for the plans. The producers cooperated. # The "missiles" were actually model rockets manufactured by a company in Raytown, Missouri. The filmmakers were so impressed with their accuracy over distance that they restaged some of the battle scenes to take advantage of this. Ace Hunter: Oh, I just wanted to say good-bye and remind you that the good guys always win, even in the eighties. Wow...totally forgot how "awesome" this flick was... |
