Remember that thread a couple of weeks ago about how the Dem Party people wanted you to send in your favorite Obongo accomplishment from the last year?  I responded w/ something like "I loved how he went around the world apologizing for the US giving aid, saving the world, etc, etc" or something along those lines.  I assume that is why I got this email.  I found it kind of funny and also kind of pathetic.

Bulldog8b-

Your commitment to fighting for the President's vision for America's future and the Democratic Party's agenda for change, confirms my firm belief that we're going to have the resources to contest every seat in 2010 and be fully prepared for these crucial midterm elections.

Because of your dedication to the DCCC, I am personally inviting you to join our State of the Union "Fact Check FOX" Team.

Join our mobile "Fact Check FOX" rapid response team by using your mobile phone to text DCCC to 35328 or clicking here to sign up (standard message rates apply).

This group of Democratic Party activists will stand at the ready to counter the lies and distortions that erupt from the right-wing media and Republican spin doctors like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck following President Obama's State of the Union address tonight. You will receive rapid response fact check text alerts and a direct line to our Rapid Response team to tell us when you see Republican pundits and Members of Congress twisting the truth.

If you don't have a cell phone, you can also send in your "Fact Check Fox" reports to our rapid response team at [email protected], or via Facebook or Twitter.

This initiative of the DCCC's Rapid Response Network is an essential component of our 2010 campaign strategy.

It's this dedicated army of grassroots activists that gives us the capacity to counter the right wing's massive propaganda machine.

Join our mobile "Fact Check FOX" rapid response team by using your mobile phone to text DCCC to 35328 or clicking here to sign up.

Thank you again for your generous support. It's clear evidence that grassroots Democrats reject the doom and gloom scenarios spun by right-wing media pundits about the Democratic Party's agenda. Working together I know we can achieve the change we voted for in 2008.

Thank you,

Jon Vogel
DCCC Executive Director

P.S. I need to recruit 5,000 new members to our "Fact Check FOX" Team by midnight tonight. Can I count on you? We need to stand together to counter the misleading statements and outright lies of the Republican media machine. Join our mobile "Fact Check FOX" rapid response team by using your mobile phone to text DCCC to 35328 or clicking here to sign.

Once again, the level of organization of the liberals can be seen.  They have organized and pro-active processes for every possible event, and put a lot of effort into controlling the message, and getting others to buy into the message.  It's not even the old "playing chess vs. playing checkers" situation; they're playing chess, we're digging around in the sandbox.

That's the difference. Republicans/Libertarians figure out and investigate things for themselves. Democrats want things spoon fed to them.

I hadn't thought about that.  Maybe we can have our own "Operation Chaos" and have them fact check all kinds of dumb shit.  Send them around chasing their tails forever.

Republicans/conservatives/the right are at work and don't have time to go to rallies and marches every day, that's the difference.  Unfortunately, it makes it look like they are much more organized.

More unfortunately, that type of organization DOES affect elections (Nov 2008, for example).  They had a constant presence in every neighborhood (in Northern VA, at least), either door to door, phone, or pamphlet drop off every weekend (both Saturday and Sunday).  If you feed enough people who either don't pay attention to political details or who get all their info from the MSM enough BS on a repeated basis, you can create belief.   "YES WE CAN", "HOPE AND CHANGE" -

OK, is this like the game we played with the Million Mom March on the most outlandish stuff that we could get them to believe?

Oh, and I wonder who,
, got them to bite off on the cannibalism in the Super Dome story? That was epitome of my trolling in DU.
