So, I understand the point of the FCC in regards to making it so we can actually listen to the radio. I don't, however, understand why they insist on telling me what's bad for my ears, free speech and all that. So, why is it they are allowed to continue to push away the most fundamental of our constitutional rights? Anyone have an argument supporting the FCC?

The government is supposed to represent the people. The FCC is the government and what goes over the free air is based on what the masses want. The FAA is also the government and manages what is in the air. This keep people from flying without a license and getting people killed. This is what you call regulation. This keeps us civil. As society changes, more garbage is allowed of the airwaves. Many TV shows would never have been allowed a few years ago but the times are changing. |
