First off, I know Paypal is the devil for it's anti-gun policy. I got an e-mail statong I was in violation of their "firearms, ammo and gun accessory" policy. They reversed the withdraw I made from my Paypal account to my personal bank account and placed my Paypal account in "limited account access". They are asking me to sign their on-line agreement that I was in error.
What happens if I sign this statement? Do they keep the money? This is the first and LAST time I will use Paypal. |

You have to ask????? I wouldn't use paypal in the first place due to their anti-gun stance, but this right here is another reason not to do it. They have access to your personal bank account????????????? Tell them to kiss your ass and take your business elsewhere. |

I added a bank account to my Paypal account in order to transfer my funds directly away from Paypal. I just need some input from someone who has been in this kind of mess and what they did in order to get their money. |

They did the same to me last year. "Signed" the online agreement and account was unlocked and funds released- took minutes. They also made me remove any and all reference to PayPal from my Gunbroker ads. |

I'm scared they will keep my money if I sign it.

I'm wondering if the funds had already been deposited to your bank account or if the transfer was just pending. I just tied my paypal account to a dedicated account just for this reason. Bank told me they could not remove a transfer under any circumstances. It was in the pending/processing stage. They "reversed" the transfer according to my Paypal account. I learned my lesson and will never use them again. I'm off to research the gunpal.net option. |

Anyone using Gunpal.net? Yes - several times with success. Is it free? For the buyer - yes. For the seller - no. You are charged approximately 2.8%. GUNPAL is great AND donates to pro-2A causes or the Red Cross on each purchase (your choice). Good people to do biz with. |

How much money involved here? $343 Do not sign ANYthing paypal sends you. Go to your bank. Tell them you did not authorize this transaction, and that it is fraudulent. They will fight paypal on your behalf. Then, go to your local police station (Sheriff's station seems to work), and file a claim for theft. Then, contact your state attorney general. Send Paypal a copy of the AG's response along with the police report. |

I just signed up for a GunPal account. I haven't had any issues with PayPal yet, and regret that I'll probably have to keep using them. I have a handgun on GunBroker right now, and will have another one on there soon, so I'll update my auction to include GunPal.

I don't understand all this about paypal or even gunpal. If I can't pay for it with USPS money order, check, debit card, or credit card, fuck it, I don't need it that badly.
I don't give anyone access to any checking account of mine and won't set up an account just for their use, period. I don't even allow companies like the power company, the water company, or anyone else to do automatic debits from my bank accounts. I did that once and someone didn't put the decimal point before the cents and it almost wiped me out. It got straightened out after a while, but in the meantime, I had a hell of a time getting the company that caused the problem to cover the overdraft fees they caused. That was about 15 years ago. Won't happen again. |

So let me see if I have this straight - you knowingly and deliberately violated PayPal's terms of service and are now whining that they caught you?

I stopped using Paypal––and by extension, Ebay––when they required me to either use their credit card, or give them access to my bank account. I am NOT going to give someone else that kind of access! If Obamacare passes the Government will have full access to all your accounts to pay for any medical, fiancial, retirement, ect.... Its part of the Bill.. |
