according to this thread they weigh in at 7000 pounds, well the toe limit is 7000 pounds on my truck. I don't think going 500-1000 pounds over will do any real damage to my truck. I just need a trailer I can borrow, I have a place to store it but have no clue what I would do with it but could be fun.

I bet NASA has MASSIVE restrictions on who can obtain the engine.  I immagine they want a museum to take it.  If I'm wrong, then can I come over and shoot at it?

I just sent an e-mail to my friend thats a GS14 at NASA. I haven't talked to him in about a year or so. This could be a very EPIC thread or a huge let down

I've seen similar deals for decommed naval vessels.  Free to come get.  But usually that comes with all kinds of requirements regarding upkeep, display, etc.  As in: the gov't will give it to you, but your end of the deal is that you have to use it for the public good somehow or another (like placing it in a museum setting for people to tour).  YMMV, though, as I have no idea if that's what's in play here.

Then I will let Hurlburt field or Eglin use it for X years as a display

That would be a kick-ass addition at Eglin!  I remember going there as a kid with my uncle (retired Naval aviator, RIP).
