$281 for the month of December.....
|
|
Quoted:
Electric bill for Dec 8 - Jan 11 was about $250. That's $100 higher than any previous winter bill. I had the thermostat set in the 60-65 range, and I was out of town for 10 days. ![]() Ahh...so there is a nationwide conspiracy...not just GA. The price per unit of gas nearly doubled in December... |

Quoted: My price stayed the same, but my consumption went from the typical 1000 to 1600kWh!Quoted: Electric bill for Dec 8 - Jan 11 was about $250. That's $100 higher than any previous winter bill. At my parent's house my Dad ran up the bill to 974 dollars.![]() He just turns the thermostat up to the maximum in the early evening then forgets to turn it off when he leaves in the morning. The only reason the bill is not higher is because I come by during the week to check on the dogs, garbage, etc... so I turn it off. ![]() He still yells at me if I leave a porch light on when I leave the house, I explain that I do it so when he and my mom come home they dont trip on anything on the way in. ![]() He tells me I am wasting energy by leaving the porch light on. |

He tells me I am wasting energy by leaving the porch light on. I know the type. My fiancee' thinks heat is cheaper than light.

Quoted: It was in the 70's most of the month. I had the heat off for ten to fourteen days. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168/AR-15_Paul/WinterWeather.gif Nice! I get to do that for a month or so every spring and fall, but not this time of year. Although, it was warm enough today that I turned off the heat and opened some windows. Hopefully I can do that all week. |
