LOL, No, does not help.

Start -> Run -> type: msconfig
click "startup"
click "disable all"

then, go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, and click on disk defragmenter. click "defragment"

when that is done running do this-
double click your "my computer" icon
right click on "Local Disk C:/"
click properties
select "tools"
Under "error checking" click "check now"
select both boxes, click OK. it will tell you this must be done on your next restart, click ok, and restart.

these should help speed your computer up. not some bullshit software.

Exactly what they said.

1.  Back up IMPORTANT files.

2.  Download and burn DBAN.  It's free.

3.  Boot up with DBAN in the CD/DVD drive.  Run DBAN.

4.  Depending on how big your hard drive is, it could take awhile.  (1 TB took more than 24 hours)

5.  Reinstall OS.

6.  Watch what you click on if you don't know what you're doing.

no the software you see on tv will only do what we suggest in this thread,  and our advice is free.

back-up your HDD,  then reformat,  maybe get a new copy of Win7 64-bit and 4+ gigs of ram while your at it.

you can get the OEM version of Win7 for around 100 bux when you buy the ram.  (OEM is for "system builders"  but Frys and other stores will sell you a copy if you are buying "computer parts" at the same time.)  i've bought a $5 case fan and gotten Windows for $100 in the past.)

then download a good Anti-virus, i've had good luck with both AVG and Avast.

get Malwarebytes.

and to keep your HDD free of crap and in good working order download CCleaner, and Glary Utilities.

http://www.avast.com/

you only need one anti-virus.  pick one.
