I was just curious what would happen to meat if it were soaked in alcohol. I haven't tried it or heard of it being done before so I thought I'd ask about it here. I have considered letting some pork chops soak in vodka for a few days just to see what happens. |

Folks use beer all the time. People use Jack Daniels and bourbon. People use wine all the time. It soaks into the meat. Soaking anything in Vodka, unless you are a raging alchy, seems pointless and tasteless though. But I think Tiramisu tastes like ass compared to a great carrot cake so what do I know. |

Just an experiment. I wasn't really thinking about the flavor as much as possible short term preservation as with soaking in a salt, acid or sugar based brine. |
