Hmm.... that's a tough one.

Dog Fish Head is pretty damn good, both the 90 and the 60. So is ACME Brewing Co IPA.

There are too many good one out there to determine a BEST.  Once you think you know a best you can find ten more that you like.  I just revisited one that I picked up in Moab UT from a micro there and it was awesome.

The selection where I am isn't great, but my favorites right now are Victory Hop Wallop (which beats out all the others), Victory Hop Devil, Stone IPS, and Dogfish Head 60 minute (I don't really like 90 minute).

I am drinking some of that right now. It's pretty good but I like the ACME, Dog Fish, and Lagunitas Maximus better.

Lately my favorite is Sierra Nevada "Torpedo" but I don't know if there's a best.  It's good to go with different beers depending on what you want at the time.

Modus Hoperendi is awesome too and in cans which makes it nice for 4-wheeling and other stuff where you can break botles.

Yeah, but that is not your typical pick up a few at the grocery store brew.  The 120 is sold as a collector item where you can find it, and when you do, it goes in the cellar to be aged.

Dogfishead 90 minute is the best regular in my book.  Sierra Nevada's Torpedo is quite good as well for the hop heads out there.

This, plus it depends on my my taste and mood and food at the time.  I've had a lot of really good but subtly different ones.

A Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA tops my list on most days.

Today I was at the Rogue Brewery in Newport, OR and had the I2PA (Very good)  and  a Rogue Yellow Snow IPA, which was much better than I remember from the bottle. I'll have to confirm that tomorrow

Halo IPA and Bridgeport IPA are common on tap here.

I used to like Bridgeport a lot, but now all I can taste is coriander in it. Dont know if they add it or not, but thats what it tastes like to me.

The seasonal Bourbon Barrel aged IPA that I had on Christmas eve at the Kona Brew Pub.  Maui Brewing Companies IPA is also great.  Other than that, the hoppier the better.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a "bad" IPA. I prefer the ones that make you feel like you've been hit in the head with a Hop-infused cinder block. Those are my favorites.

Although I've never had either of these, they are both recognized as being the "best" IPAs/DIPAs. The Elder is bottled on a limited basis, The Younger is only available on tap.

Of the ones I've had, I'd have to say that DFH 90 min and Victory's Hop Wallop are my favorites.

My favorite IPA is Lagunitas IPA. Then, Three Floyds Alpha King. Both are well balanced and are to the malty, sweet side of style.

Samuelsmithbeer says Samuel Smith's IPA is the best. I enjoy domestic brews but many times they go over the top trying to be the biggest and most flavorful and they start to loose their drinkability. I've found this especially true with domestic IPA's.

Sierra Nevada Torpedo and New Glarus Hop Hearty are my favorites.  DogFishHead 90 is just ok.
