So my father is estranged from his father, a bad divorce when he was younger from his wife, my grandmother, and he remarried. Well his new wife died a few months back from cancer and he is lonely and trying to patch things up with my dad but he is stubborn and he sends cards and money and calls asking for help. I like him and wish to help him more, and I plan on calling hin more often and visiting, but is there any advice for this? what is the right thing to do?

There is nothing wrong with having a relationship with both your dad and your grandpa.  Just don't expect them to attend family gatherings simultaneously.

You posted three lines of vague text in poor grammar regarding a complex problem, and expect that GD will give you good advice.

This thread is not going to go like you intended.

Seriously, though, I don't understand what you're trying to say.

You mean your grandfather is trying to make amends with your father, but your father wants nothing to do with him?

Or do you mean your grandfather is trying to connect with you?
