My IT guy put Firefox on my machine the other day.  I normally use IE.

Firefox seems alot faster than IE - loading pages, etc...  Does speed have anything to do with the browser?

Yep..........

IE>Firefox>Opera>Safari>Chrome

That is in terms of speed.........I use FF & Chrome.

I use Firefox, too.

Some sites automatically shrink pictures to keep a extremely large picture reasonably viewable.  If you want to see the picture at its  normal size just click a bar above the picture.  Unfortunately this freaks out many browsers through a "Slow Script Error".  Firefox handles those sites just fine.  Some other browsers just can't handle it.

Yes,  beyond any possible doubt.

depends on the user.

i used ie with no problems until ie7 changed the user interface and put the buttons all over the place instead of together like they had been forever...  i then switched to firefox...  firefox is possibly more resistant to getting hijacked and also can be set not to save your browsing history in any way....
