I recognize that gun, I have one just like it. Kimber Tactical custom II, right? Yeah, there really is no secret to it, you just wiggle the piss out of it and it eventually just comes free. The the other side pivots back and then out of the hole.
ETA: its gets easier every time I take it down. guess it just gets looser. |

The hammer pin sticks out the right side of the frame and is dovetailed into the right side of the safety. Wiggle the left side out and then rotate the right side upward. |
