Do GPSs (preferably ones <$50) have an audible alarm that sounds when you reach a pre-set location or one where it starts beeping when you get within a certain distance and as you get closer the intervals between the beeping increases?

I don't have any really cheap ones but it sounds like a simple software (and possibly a small hardware) hack that can be found online somewhere.

couldn't tell you.  My Garmin HC has an audible alarm, but then again I paid more than $50.  I think it comes standard on all models over $51....

How many are there for less than $50??  My old Meridian Color (2001) does and my newer Garmin 60CSx does.  Would think most have a destination arrival tone.  But which ones are you looking for that's that cheap?

Ok... bump it up to about $70...

This is the one I'm keying in on now because it seems to be the cheapest handheld (don't want a car one).
