I went out to the range this evening to record the flashes from my SBR.

Enjoy.

I just wanted to add that this was my first time shooting at night. It's difficult to see in the video, but I was using the light on the target when shooting.

I'm curious, what ammo were you shooting?
I have a video here somewhere of myself and a friend shooting our SBRs around dusk. He was shooting Wolf, I think I was shooting PMC. You can see a big difference between the flashes. It was almost comical, because his Wolf ammo actually launched some kind of debris that looked like a flare down range with one of the last shots he fired.
ETA: Here are some stills I extracted from a video I took in 2002 of shooting a little before dark. The quality is pretty poor, but I think it made for kind of interesting pics. The video was taken with my first digital camera, an Olympus D-510 (I think), 1.9MP.

ETA2: Here's the video. The camera caught kind of a mix, but you can see I have mostly solid muzzle flashes with the PMC, and my buddy has mostly sparks with the Wolf. And excuse the zoom in in the middle of the video. My ex-fiancee used to do that stupid shit all the time.
