| I just installed Windows 7 upgrade from VIsta and now my Lexmark X4530 printer will not work. Computer shows printer there and functioning correct but when i try to print i get a notice cant communicate with the printer. I have tried installing the Win 7 drivers from M$ about 10 times now and same crap. It said something about bidirectional communication but that is turned on. Said something about firewall. I use the newest Zone Alarm that is supposed to work with Win 7. I even tried with ZA turned off still no dice. I did get the scanner to scan a document but i cant print. Im about to get the BFH to fix the computer. |

Try getting drivers for the printer from the manufacturer's web site. This. http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&segment=DOWNLOAD&startover=y&userlocale=EN_US+&question=X4530&productCode=LEXMARK_X4530&page=answers&detectedProductFacet=CMS-CATEGORY_REF.LEXMARK.PRODUCTS.ALLINONE.LEXMARK_X4530&searchid=1258027609101#1 They have a special notice about Windows 7 up on their page. Might want to check it out. |
| I downloaded the cjb file for Win 7 32 bit which is correct version and i tried uninstalling it but then installed the printer with the downloaded drivers. i will try just having Windows detect the printer in the morning. My boy is sleeping and it might wake him up now. Thanks for the quick replies. |
