I'm interested in purchasing a new F-150 & would like to know if any of you can sponsor me - I think that is the right term anyway.  I need a pin & help using the X plan.  Thanks!

I work for a Ford dealer. My brother in law bought an F150 using my Dplan but for that you have to be related. I have never heard of the Xplan but if you find out more and can use me, I will be more than happy to help.

Having at one time been eligible for X plan, and employee pricing later (my dad sold fords for a while in his retirement)  I will tell you that you can get a better deal without either.  If you have a good credit score, and DON"T LEAVE, you can walk out of there with the dealer taking a loss on the truck.

As long as you stay, you are wasting the salesman's and the gm's time.  After several hours off fucking around the gm will give you almost anything you ask for just to get rid of you.  They will eventually cave just to make the money on the backend (financing)

Another trick is to line up your financing before you go (with your bank or credit union) but don't tell them you have it in place.  Ignore the interest rate on every offer they make you and just hound away at the sales price.  They will bump your rate up tp 10% higher than you qualify for in an attempt to make big money on the back end.  If they think they are going to make 5k on the back, they are more willing to sell the truck at a small loss on the front.  Once you get the sale price you want, go ahead and finance with there screwed up interest rate.

As soon as you get your new payment book, refinance with you bank.  As long as you don't make your first payment, your bank will finance it as a new vehicle, and you wont pay any interest on the initial loan.

Rule to live by when buying a car.

NEVER put money down.  They just use that to sell you the car at a price higher than the bank will finance.

NEVER get up an walk away.  Many people think this will get them to cave.  It doesn't work for the most part.  2 minutes after you leave the salesman has forgotten about you and looking for another up.

NEVER buy anything they try to sell you in the finance office.  These people are not your friends, and no matter what they say, they are trying to fuck you.

NEVER trust anybody in that place.  I don't care how many people in that place give your kids soda's and candy bars, or what bs story they tell you.  They are not your friend.  Every person in that place makes more money the more they fuck you.

Check for things like "etch" "pin stripping" "paint protection" "spray in bed liner" "tint" on the final invoice.  Most dealers do this stuff automatically to every vehicle as it comes off the truck, and is just a way to bump the sales price.  If you are persistent, you should never have to pay for the adendum.

Good luck.

I tried it with my old man for a few months on a part time basis.  It was very depressing.  I got tired of everybody trying to fuck everybody, and finally quit.  If there was ever a job that i risked going postal at, it was that one.  My dad was good at it, and made a ton of money.  His customers loved him.  Eventually however he just couldn't stand to sit there and lie to good people just to bump his check.  He was also very tired of getting screwed over by the gm or the fni office every time he turned around.  For the most part (not all) car salesman are the lowest form of life on this planet.  Even worse than liberals.
