Hey guys, as the title says I'm trying to develop a thesis for an essay I'm writing.

so far I've got this:

Gun control only makes it difficult for law abiding citizens to defend themselves from criminals who obtain their firearms through illegal means.

any and all constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated.
