pics and such will be posted when it arrives this computer will be used mostly by my gf but occasionally by me. we wanted something that has a bitchin video card and plenty of memory to support the latest games and some 3d rendering (maya and such). This was the best balance of cost and features we could find. I can't wait!
I also ordered a few SSD's to put in a raid0 setup for my gaming rig. ...hello lightning fast computer

Maybe you are just very rough on things in general???? |

Also had one of their vid cards that was junk I've never had any issues with ASUS. My last PC build ran an ASUS mobo for 4 years straight with very rare power downs and it did so without a hiccup. I'm on a Gigabyte kick right now, though.. |

Asus is good IMHO. Never had trouble with my boards. But every company puts out a lemon now, and again. OP what brand of SSD did you get? i picked up 2 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148318 i figure they'll haul ass in a raid0 setup. |

I can assurse you, the G51vx blows the Toshiba out of the water. The biggest deal with the G51vx is the dedicated Geforce 260m video with 1gb ram. It is gaming capable laptop. The video card and memory actualy come underclocked from the factory. Playing with the bios, a person can get awsome results out of one of these. As for Asus being crap. I have run nothing but Asus boards for years and not a single issue. Latest build is running the Crosshair III Formula, and is super stable, even when overclocked and over volted. Hell, I have a Asus board for sale in the EE. I ran it for 8 months no issues. Just wanted to go DDR3 for my 955 cpu. |

Not in a position right now to replace it with another, but as soon as I have $1,200 or so for another notebook it will be an Asus. Phenomenal! |
