If you are pulled over for just driving down the road do I half to answer there questions, Do I half to show my license and proof of insurance?

What you think is a illegal stop may not be. You may know that you did not commit any fraction of traffic law, but what you may not know is that your vehicle may match the description of a robbery suspect, or a suspicious person called in by a resident. It could be the officer just checking to make sure that your not the one who was reported as acting suspiciously.
Its not always a bad thing. If your as helpful as you can be for the officer, in the long run, it will be helpful for you. No reason not to fully cooperate with him if he stops you. And if the officer does accuse you of violating a traffic offense the time to argue that is in court....not the side of the road. |

Quoted: Quoted: Is it just me, or has General Discussion been even more ruthless than usual the last few weeks? Oh, and to answer the original poster's questions, you due knot half two answer the cop's questions. nah, you are probably just going thru a sensitive stage ![]() That time of the month, maybe? Have some cranberry juice. |

The only reason I asked is because the bozo's in my state continually pull me over, They give me a broke dick excuse i.e. tail light is out or I was over the speed limit by 2 mph, or I didn't use my turn signal.
Funny thing is when I ask simple questions to find out why they really pulled me over I get a shocked look. One cop answered the question why. I look suspicious due to my age and the make and model of car I drive. |
