I said good bye last night to my oldest son. He's headed to Ft. Benning (MOS 11B) and I can't wait for his graduation! He is already a hero in my eyes!

Atleast he is going down there in the "cool season" if you know what I mean...

Sweat dripping into your aiming eye at the TOW missle range wasn't condusive to killing tanks  in the high heat of August as I recall.

Memories of Sand Hill, mostly in a horizontal position. I know you are very proud of him. He will be a changed young man in a few months. Physically and mentally stronger. Go Army! Go Infantry!

I can only imagine what the heat and humidity are like during the summer months. I hear it can get cold during the winter months too.

Not as cold as Illinois.  Folks around here panic at the thought of snow, freezing temperatures are not the norm during winter, and we seldom go below 20 degrees once you get south of the North Georgia Mountains.

Winters do suck here. The wind cuts you to the bone. I spent a Christmas in northern Minnesota, went snowmobile riding at -25 and wasn't as cold as when it's 0 here.
Edit: It's a dry cold up there!
