You can have both of them plugged into the same computer, in the same iTunes, and be syncing different stuff to both. Just manual sync them. Pick which playlists you want to go to each. In short, I have two iPod Touch's, and a Nano. The same computer recognizes all 3 as different devices, and I sync all of them differently.
