Me and the wife just bought a front loader LG washer/dryer that's pretty schwanky. I think we picked the dryer up for around $550. It's very very quiet. :)

About a year ago the wife and I bought the Bosch front load washer/dryer set.  We love them.  The dryer finishes its cycle before the washer.  Never encountered that before.  How do you like the LG?

GF and I visited one of the larger electronic stores this week.

WE were appliance window shopping for our new house. Of all the appliances we liked the LG most of all.

One thing we noticed right off with the dryer is that if you are using the shelf you do not have to move it to remove the lint filter. On other brands you have to lift or remove the shelf to clean the lint filter. For us this a major inconvenience as we both need appliances that are operator friendly due to health issues.

My brother is a manager for Lowe's in Tennessee. He said they have more problems with LG and Samsung than any other brands. Just sayin'.

We got a LG front loader too.  Has an "Estimated Time Remaining" clock to tell you when your load should be done.  I put  in a load the other night and it said 55 minutes. I set a timer on my iphone for 55 minutes and went down to check on it when it went off.  Time remaining after 55 minutes was 22 minutes  Is ours retarted or are they all that way?

Might be a Windows software error.

I just bought a sWirlpool washer.  I know, I know.  But they had to be ordered, waiting sucks with a baby while the old one is busted.  Authorized service is also pretty thin in my area.

That's the problem, I even put it on lowest settings for soil and temp. I even pushed the button to have it optimize the load based on weight.  I don't know how the hell you can save any money with these new "efficient" appliances when they take 4 times longer to run than the old inefficient ones.
