So, I am still on the hunt for the perfect autopistol for CCW. I have a revolver and I love it, but I still want an auto as an option. I've been looking at compact 1911s and I already want one, but I really like DA/SA autos. What say the hive about the CZ Rami? |

A friend of mine has one, bought it for concealed carry. I did some reading about them in the CZ forum because she was having some jamming problems with the 14-round mags that came with it. From what I've learned (I have yet to shoot it) the larger capacity mags can be problematic, but the 10-rounders (which are the ones that fit flush anyway) are more reliable. She likes the gun, says it shoot well and is plenty accurate for CCW use. I've handled it some, it's a nice little pistol, decent trigger, etc. Personally, I think I'd prefer the alloy framed model; she's got the polymer frame.

| I had one that I was going to use for a carry pistol. It was accurate although a little heavy for a sub compact. I could never rely on it with JHP ammo I tried all makes had the pistol worked on twice. The trigger is a little funny unless you are used to a double action, I ended up trading it for a XDSC I love it and it feels lighter is just as accurate and eats everything I feed it. |

I had some FTEs with the first 200 rounds....
That was four years ago, the last 3k + rounds have been problem free. This gun has TIGHT tolerances like all CZs, so IMHO it needs a break in. It's my EDC, sturdy, VERY accurate, well made. The DA pull is heavy but I carry at 'half-cock' at it's not too bad. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk137/SsevenN_photo/RAMI1.jpg |

I believe he means decocked. Once decocked, the DA pull lightens up slightly. At least, that's how it is with my P01 |

Yup, this ^ The hammer is quite literally half-cocked, making the pull shorter and lighter. In the pic I have it cocked and locked, but that's not the way I carry. Misleading...I know.... |

I owned a CZ Rami P 9mm. I would recommend one to anyone. My wife wanted a .40 instead of 9mm so we bought an XD, and sold the Rami to a member here on the board.
The high capacity mags don't work, ask for two 10 round mags instead of 1 of each. I couldn't get the high cap to work, called CZ in KC and they said send it to us we will send you a new one. They did and it did the same thing. |

Quoted: I considered one and went with a Glock 26 instead. The RAMI is a bit too heavy for a gun that size. If you can conceal it, I'd look at the P01. The P01 has an alloy frame, rail, and the newer trigger shape that's a bit easier to manipulate with smaller hands. Thanks for the info. I have large hands for a woman, and long fingers so the sky's the limit when it comes to grips on a pistol. I've handled a full size CZ-75 before and it fit just fine in my hand––a bit long to conceal though The P01 looks like a very nice gun, and I've looked up some size comparisons and I will definitely take a closer look at it. Even if I can't conceal one, I may very well get one as a house pistol. |

The RAMI has long been plagued with feed issues. Too long to get a vote of confidence from me.
Look at the HK P 2000sk or springfield XD 3" subcompact. If you must have a manual safety, I would consider the CZ75 compact Personally, I have the kahr mk9 and pm9. Due to feed issues, I would not recommend Kahr. I would go for the HK p 2000sk. |
