Quoted: It's definately an acquired taste and you can't mix it with things that taste sweet. Don't eat a piece of a birthday cake or go straight from a pepsi to a beer and be surprised that it tastes like shit. Samuel Smith's Russian Imperial Stout and chocolate cake go together really well. Other sweet things could go with a brown ale like a Newcastle.

Quoted:
I'm not a big fan of beer ether (19) and don't plan on drinking for personal reasons that I would not like to share over the Internets. Life would suck if I didn't get to take the occasional vacation from sobriety. Is it because alcoholism runs in your family? It does in mine, didn't stop me. My dad is a functional alcoholic, my grandpa was. You would never know my dad was because he is one of the hardest working people I know, never comes to work drunk, and never acts drunk when he is. I can drink 2 or 3 in the evening and then stop without getting drunk and maybe actually get drunk twice a month or so on the weekend. |

Quoted: You need to try better beer. Find some local micro brews in your area, 99% of them will let you try samples. Quoted: Beer tastes better when you brew it yourself. I'm 34 and drink Mikes/Twisted Tea.Now that you mention it,i had a beer at a German guys house(that he brewed)that was pretty good.He had thousands(MANY)into his brewery inside his home. |

Quoted: The Imperial Stout and chocolate cake is awesome pairing. But if you can get it in your area a Mackeson XXX Stout with chocolate cake, brownies or cookies is the stuff. It's a milk stout. We can't get it around here anymore. :( This is one of those beers that I really miss. Most other beers you can you can find something similar. But I have yet to find a milk stout (they are rare anyways) that even comes close to this one. Our local microbrewery Empyrian Brewing Company makes a descent one but its no Mackison XXX stout. I should find a clone recipe and make it myself.Quoted: It's definately an acquired taste and you can't mix it with things that taste sweet. My order of preference:
1. Guinness or Leinenkugels (depends on the situation) 2. Blue Moon/Smithwicks/Bass 3. Keystone Light/Coors Light(which I prefer in cans, strangely enough) or similar beers that are really water with some beer taste 4. A nice warm glass of my own piss ... 172. Bud Light I like to drink a beer now and then, and sometimes I like to drink several beers. But I don't see how some people can put away 15+ beers in 1 night, all the time. Just like I couldn't imagine drinking 15 Mt. Dews, Cokes, or Monsters in 1 night. |
Thats awesome. I hope you dont mind that I sigged you. \/
