How many monitors do you run on a given PC? I have two, but am thinking another vid card and two more would be the cat's ass. |

Wouldn't it be nice to run six 30" monitors at once???
I only run a single 20" LCD. |

I like the l4d scene they have on the last pic. WIN! I remember seeing some lab setups with six even eight monitors at a time. I never did ask what the used them for... |
| I have always ran 2 now I have a video card that can support 4 and might get 3 going since I still have to bring windows to the front when i am working, I like to be able to view all i am working at once. Heck if i went with 4 i might even be able to have a dedicated ARFCOM monitor. |

I've been running Dual CRT's since 2000.
I use one screen to have a full screen view of my working model, and all the tools & controls on the second screen. (and chat clients, mp3 players, extra calc window, and a few browser windows.) Now on my bedroom media/browsing box I run a 24" Samsung widescreen LCD and a 20" CRT. I still like the CRT for some things better. |

Quoted: I use one, but will probably use two on my next desktop since it will have the new ATI 5800s which kick ass at multi monitors. That is awesome, but you better remount the screens without the plastic bezels. |

Just a tip, if you get a different 2nd video card, XP can be a little weird with it since XP was made to only use a single driver for all the video adapters. I have a GeForce GTX 275 running my main game monitor, and a GeForce 9600 GT running my 2nd (and future 3rd) monitor(s). Windows Vista and 7 have no probs though. |

I voted 2.
My desktop at home has one 22" monitor, and it's adequate. It's also easier to play games on. My laptop has a screen, but at the office, I plug a 22" monitor into it and use both displays. It's handy, because I run a windows VM on the 22" monitor and keep my Mac stuff on the portable's screen. |
