[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Multicam at G20 (Page 1 of 3)

| Looking at some vids and pics from the G20 protests. Looks like the military is rocking multicam in some of the videos and images. |
|
Not military.
No covers (hats). No exposed body armor or helmets No webbelts Mismatched cammo patterns. Discontinued woodland cammo Commercial multicam cammo. Too old, if they are military they have 4 E-9's doing E-3's work. I'm going with LE, specifically SWAT guys from two or more agencies. |
|
Quoted: They look like mil to me. From Drudge http://www.drudgereport.com/pitm.jpg I see 1 woodland camo and 3 multicam surrounded by police. I dont think police would dress like that, because they would want to be identified. Hold on I i will link the vid-yas So wearing camo = military? Are airsofters in the military? |

He's wearing multicam with his sleeve rolled Marine style. Marines do not wear multicam. Multicam is in limited use, in the army only. They are not military. |

I have seen our swat guys with camo but it is usually only one or two of the marksman. Why the heck would you wear that when you have a perfectly good uniform that identifies them as a police officer. |

Look at the pic you posted for the answer. The traditional wool uniform is expensive and restricts movement. Those woodland cammo BDU's were likely free from DRMO. Better to tear that up doing that messy work than a $250.00 class A set. The fact that they are wearing BDU's doesnt bother me. The fact that the taxpayers bought multicam when they could have got woodland or ACU for FREE does. |

There are two cops at the end of the video making sure the protesters stand back. If it was staged they would not be that close. |

There are lots of little things that make it clear they are not military, but a person who never served might not notice. |

The subtle level of distrust some of the members have for DoD personnel is astounding. |

Quoted: I'm going with cops. I still think it's cops or feds. Lefties and the the "Patriot act means we're all going to Cuba" groups think it's the military. From the other thread - From the video that keeps getting posted you don't see what happens before it starts. Who knows what the person they haul away did first.....probably something they caught on video or in a picture and he was identified and they rolled up and got his ass. |

If you look at the pic closer.... You'll see some one kneeling over the person arrested, behind the black clad riot officer... The person kneeling appears to be wearing a diiferent pattern too Oh yeah. Looks like Marpat. To much blue/black. Its some commercial digital pattern. |

I'm going with cops. I still think it's cops or feds. The above picture isn't proof enough that they're cops of some sort? The id badges prove they are cops. I might not know about military uniform, but I do know an id badge when I see one. |
