I am starting get over the "flu like" sickness. Whole family has been sick for a week.
This was the sickest I have been in about a dozen years. I had borderline pneumonia two nights, did not have the energy to move. I NEVER get a fever, but had a high fever all week. I don't know what this is, but it's FUCKING NASTY. |
|
I voted "this could be the big one!", because I don't think it will be and am not planning on getting the shot.
ETA; Haven't noticed a marked increase of sickies around town. The hospital IS having a special flu vac. clinic to streamline the process of processing as many people as possible in a few weeks when the vaccine becomes available. Like a four hour gig after regular clinic hours for one or two evenings. But they specifically mentioned it is not for the H1N1 strain. They are encouraging everyone to get the shot for the regular flu, blah, blah, blah. |

Got it right now as we speak. The fucking misses decided to start cleaning the kitchen (spring fucking cleaning type) @ 9:30 tonight. Oh she says, I didn't think it would bother you. Her niece is here she is as big as our apartment and just clang bam, slam, knocking shit over everywhere. Fucking muther fuckers!!!!!!!! |

I work in healthcare IT. I go to the briefings.
The H1N1 is a mild flu. It won't be the end of the world. It will be common but most people won't get that sick. The seasonal flu may make you sicker. (If you are under 24 please disregard. It may make you pretty sick.) Get a flu shot. I'm getting mine. |

We're doomed. Optimist!
Well I think my home-brewed 'systemic shock therapy' worked - grilled up brats with onions, peppers, garlic and Franks Red Hot sauteed in Straub and washed it down with a six or so of Stella Artois. Fell pretty darn good this morning. I think I killed all the bugs!!!
