Copes has some Russian .223 and 7.62x39 for $270/1000 case, so prices are slowing dropping.

I would never run steel case through my LMT's and Colt's. No way in hell!

Winchester Q3131A and Remington UMC finally showed up at my local Dick's Sporting Goods. $12.99 per box.

I run Hornady TAP practice which is steel cased thru my LMT, no problems at all. It really lowers the cost of training for us.
