We are starting build some specialty AOW's
I had mentioned this to a high school buddy, his brother belongs to an outlaw biker gang in jersey. His biker brother called me on my 800 line. He asked about "The Reaper" 8" 12 ga with the grim reaper engraved into the side of the receiver. He asked if we could engrave a model with the Reaper logo and also this "1%" I know what the 1% means he said he could put together a nice size order if I do that. I think that 1% engraved on my AOW Reaper model would bring more than a few alphabet agency's sniffing around. What say ARFCOM? |
|
I've also been around bikers since I was a kid, I know how they think and act.
Once you do a deal with them it's not like they will let you walk away if they want something else. You'd be suprised at how many of these guys hold jobs and fly under the radar. One guy I knew (Breed) had no arrests but had two tear drop tats under his eye. |

I was already sure I wasn't putting the 1% on my guns. I think interesting life situations are cool to post, don't m like them? Who gives a fuck. Second, I don't hang out with dumb asses and fucking criminals, this is the second time you have made a really fucked up insulting remark toward me. Don't like my posts? Then don't read them. PS Before you call someone a dumb ass learn to spell it. |

I think it's beyond inane to even ask what you should do when a bunch of "outlaw bikers" want to get in on some group buy you're trying to put together. Don't like the opinion? Then don't post: What say ARFCOM? at the end of the sordid tale. God forbid that you post something soliciting opinions and....GASP....get one. Second, I don't hang out with dumb asses and fucking criminals, this is the second time you have made a really fucked up insulting remark toward me. I didn't make an insulting remark toward you. "Stop hanging out with dumbasses and criminals" is ADVICE and OPINION....offered in a thread where you ASKED FOR ADVICE AND OPINION. If I wanted to insult you, it would be abundantly clear that I had done so. Have a nice day. |

I may be wrong, but these days it seems as though 1% does not have the same meaning it once did.
These days it seems more of a tattoo that some wannabe bad guy (poser) would use. Allot like how people here see airsofters. But... I really have no first hand knowledge of this. Just my observation. -3D |

Quoted: Quoted: If he lives in NJ, is an AOW even legal there? AOW's = legal in jersey Learn something new everyday. When I lived there NFA was far removed from my vocabulary. ETA: Not that I'm going to tell you what to do but something tells me that dealing with 1% is not a good idea even if it is through proxy or out of state. Just my observation. |
A 1%'r from New Jersey? Let me guess who's patch is on his back. No way, no how would I get involved with them. Even if they manage to get the proper paperwork and tax stamp. The odds are pretty good they'll not use the AOW in a crime. That doesn't mean it won't surface in a search warrant some time and drag you in with it. Even if the transaction is completely legal remember one thing, "You can beat the charge but you'll still take the ride." Can your business survive getting raked over the coals by ATFE, FBI, EIEIO? |

A thousand pardons, wise one, for confusing: We are starting build some specialty AOW's With a group buy. I shall now chew broken glass as penance. You do this a lot. Twist peoples posts when called on your trolling. You seem to have a bad habit of accusing people of trolling. Now be a nice little troll and GTFO of my thread. Hmm...what's the appropriate response to that statement....ah, yes: Quoted:
Don't like my posts? Then don't read them. Don't get mad because you asked a silly question and people treat it like a silly question. If you're in the gun business and "outlaw bikers" start inquiring about purchases, then either it's a fed checking you out or it's somebody who is one day going to end up dragging you into problems. Either way the best thing you can do is hang up the minute you find out what they're about. "Stupid games, stupid prizes" and "Don't invite 'the man' into your life" spring to mind as appropriate responses to that sort of situation. ....unless you're just posting to stir stuff up or something. That would be wrong.

| I would do it. They have green money and can pass a back ground check to get them. Who gives a shit, it's business and probably lots of it. When I used to do car audio some of the biggest customers were drug dealers, it just comes with the territory. As long as they pay and bring in more business I really didn't care where the money was coming from. I may not have likes dealing with the idiots, but I needed the work. |

Correct! This whole thread is about a real thing that happened but I was just seeing what you guys thought of something interesting. I never intented to sell to these guys, period. |

You know they're crooked and sneaky as snake shit. Why even associate with them even on a purely business level? It might put you on the radar of both LE and the 1%ers. But it's your freedom and facial structure. Do what you want. +1 even if they want to take your AOW to another engraver (which I doubt), you're opening pandora's box and in essence making a deal with the Devil. It's easy money right up until a group of them show up in the middle of the night wanting a "favor" or some help getting around those pesky NFA laws, etc etc "what can you do for us, if we make it worth your while?" kind of stuff. I wouldn't say no to a standard purchase per se, as long as everything was legit. But I'm not sure I would go looking for their business either by accomodating the symbols and doing the engraving for them. |

Knock off the pissing match and the lack of respect. 1-You ask for opinions, you get them all.The ones you want and the ones you don't 2-When you post a thread, you have no say in who posts on it 3-You don't call mods trolls, especially when they are trying to guide you out of the path of irrationality and even............... stupidity I don't know what 1% are, but they must be something bad (killers?). I know you are not going to like this, but I agree that it is not a good idea to sell to someone who is likely to use a weapon in criminal activity. It is up to the seller, but even when things are legal, they might not be moral, ethical or prudent. Next comment like the one I quoted will get you a "timeout" from me |

Did these dealers make a habit of ripping their sub enclosures out of their hoopty and bludgeon other dealers with them? Apples and oranges. And fiber, try some of the moral flavor. |

So how do you get beyond your teen years without knowing the answer to a question like this?
Oh wait, you said you'd already decided not to do it before asking. Just attention whoring, then? Neato. I think this is going to have to be my first... Cool story, Bro. |

I don't know what 1% are, but they must be something bad (killers?). What earns the 1% patch can vary from gang to gang...but it usually involves committing acts of violence "for the club", the term "club" here meaning the genuine outlaw variety. In other words, it's an identifier for violent criminals. |

The fact he is a mod grants him nothing special but It does deserve respect from all members because with out that respect things break down around here. JW my warmest apology for taking that tone with you. Ed Sr It was not the warning that made me say I'm sorry, it's the fact I was wrong. Thanks for not using the hammer for some childess rudeness on my part.. |
