| My truck just died, it was working 20 minutes ago when I moved it. Here is the video of the sound it makes when I try to start it. Video. |

Dude, your photobucket account had this picture. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff250/bteague2/strippers.jpg ha yeah, that was for my buddies bachelor party.

Sounds like someone hooked up an MG-42. Have you tried whacking the starter with a wrench? I know it sounds crazy, but it's worked for me once or twice. I tried a couple times but it didn't have any affect yet. Quoted:
Try charging your battery. The battery is fine, the radio and lights are working. |

Quoted: Well, I got it to start after banging on the starter again and making sure the battery cables had a sound connection. I'll have to stop by Advance Auto tonight. For future reference...try only doing/changing only one thing at a time and then see if it starts. It will help you pinpoint what the real problem was. Next time it does this, locate the starter solenoid. Have someone turn the key over while you look at the solenoid. If the chattering noise is coming from there, my shade-tree mechanic guess is the solenoid is not getting enough voltage from the battery. Make sure connections are CLEAN also, not just tight. |
